Hello Beautiful People,
As we approach Easter, it's a time to reflect on the profound journey Jesus undertook, carrying the heavy burden of the cross that would ultimately lead to his crucifixion. His journey was marked by physical and emotional pain, yet he bore it with unwavering strength and grace, knowing he was fulfilling a divine purpose.
As I think back on the past couple of years and the big changes I’ve experienced, it reminds me of how Jesus must have felt carrying that heavy cross. This reflection was and is a big attitude adjustment for me. Yes, I'm challenged in many ways but in reflecting, I realize that it is no comparison to the sacrifice Jesus made for me (and all of us). His sacrifice reminds us to take a deeper look at what we complain about and to find gratitude in the knowledge that Jesus bore our burdens so that we could live freely. I'm going to go ahead and insert a shout right here. It's genuinely how I feel right now.
Let's prepare to celebrate Easter and let us be intentional about our reflections and celebrations. Here are some simple tips to enjoy Easter, especially if your family is small like mine:
1. Purchase a Bouquet of Spring Flowers 💐
Bring the vibrant colors of spring into your home as a symbol of new life and hope.
2. Attend Church Service of Your Choice ⛪️
Whether in person or virtually, participate in a service that resonates with you and allows you to connect with the Easter message.
3. Bless a Child with an Easter Basket or Give to a Worthy Cause ❤️
Spread joy by giving to others, whether it's a child in your life or supporting a charitable organization.
4. Enjoy Family and Friends for Brunch or Dinner 🍽️
Gather with loved ones, whether it's a small group or just a few close friends, to share a meal and cherish each other's company.
5. Cook Your Favorite Foods That Remind You of Love and Joy 🥘
Prepare dishes that hold special meaning for you and your family, evoking memories of love and happiness.
6. Reach Out and Check on Others Who May Not Have Family Around ☎️
Extend kindness to those who may be feeling lonely or isolated, reminding them that they are not alone.
7. Play Your Favorite Easter Song 🎶
My go-to every Easter Sunday is "He's Alive" by DeAndre Patterson. If you know, you know. Check it out here: https://youtu.be/-hbcD-u4pPY?si=JAnoyDac1EUVf04S
